I just installed logic pro x on my mac and I got a message saying that the content couldn’t be downloaded and to check my internet connection. I cleared My storage to 54 GB of free space and the tried again and it still didn’t work. I checked this forum and I saw a thread with the exact same issue and I clicked the link provided in the answer and installed it but that didn’t solve my problem either.

If you can’t download the full content for whatever reason during installation, cancel that part out, which should install only the Logic app, plus the basic content.

Here you can select individual sound categories to install. Do it in smaller sections to make sure you have enough space. Usually, you need more space than what is indicated, because Logic first downloads the installer files that includes all the sounds , then copies the files to its final destination at that point you have the files twice on your drive and after the successful installation, it will delete the installer file, freeing up the disk space.

I recently performed a clean installation of Mojave through a bootable usb and after the install, I installed logic I have all the sounds in logic I can use them but the status in sound library doesn’t show “installed”. Anyone know what is happening if anything or why that option was available and is now grayed back if I already have all of the sounds? I assume if there are no missing sounds to download it would be grayed out so I’m not sure what’s going on.

JCcares Posted December 11, Thank you. Some options were greyed out in the Sound Library manager during download. That was the main issue I guess. It’s all set now. Posted July 7, I know this thread is old, but I just updated to Logic That sounds like the complete library to me.

I see sounds as already available in my library anyway so Anyway, is there a way to find out where the temp download location is so I can delete it and free up 62GB of space?
